A Devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus – Do This and Your Requests Will be Granted
In the mid-1800s, Jesus revealed the powerful devotion to His Holy Face to Sister Mary of St. Peter, a French Discalced Carmelite nun. He asked her to spread this devotion as a reparation for blasphemies against God and the profanation of the Lord’s Day. Many saints, including Saint Therese of Lisieux, honored the Holy Face of Jesus. In 1887, Pope Leo XIII established the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face.
- Divine Favor and Conversion: By offering His Face to the Father, Jesus ensures that prayers and requests will be granted, and many sinners will be converted.
- Divine Power: The Holy Face possesses the power to appease God’s anger and draw down mercy upon sinners.
- A Spiritual Act of Mercy: Honoring the Holy Face is akin to the act of Veronica, who wiped Jesus’s face during His Passion.
- Divine Reparation: Those who make reparation for the blasphemies against Jesus’s Face will receive divine mercy and healing for their own spiritual wounds.
- Divine Defense and Reward: Those who defend the devotion to the Holy Face, especially priests, will be defended by Jesus and rewarded with His Kingdom.
- Divine Favor and Blessings: Just as a coin with the king’s image can procure goods in a kingdom, so too can devotion to the Holy Face obtain blessings and favors from God.
- Divine Vision: Those who contemplate the suffering of Jesus’s Face on Earth will behold His glorious face in Heaven.
- Divine Radiance: Devotees of the Holy Face will radiate with the divine light of God’s glory.
- Divine Protection and Perseverance: Jesus promises to protect and preserve those who honor His Holy Face, ensuring their perseverance in faith until the end.
