The sign on the hill precedes the “seven plagues” of the Apocalypse.

The placement of the sign promised by the Madonna in third place in the dynamics of the Secrets highlights two very different phases.

In the first phase there will be two events that concern Medjugorje. They will be two calamities that will cause damage, Mirjana specified, but not as serious as the subsequent ones. At the same time they will determine beneficial spiritual effects on the inhabitants, who will realize how ephemeral the things of this world are.

When giving Mirjana the scroll with the Ten Secrets written on it, Our Lady said these precise words: “Mirjana, I chose you and told you what was necessary. I also revealed to you many terrible things that you will have to carry with you.”

“The Many Terrible Things” concern the Secrets from the fourth to the tenth which evidently recall the seven plagues of the Apocalypse. These are scenarios that we cannot imagine, in which the judgment of God on the world of iniquity and death will be manifested.

In this time of the first great apocalyptic battle, the Queen of Peace will be present with daily apparitions and with messages to one of the visionaries who still have them (Vicka, Marija, Ivan). This will undoubtedly be of great help to those who believe.

However, Our Lady also wanted the presence of this divine sign that everyone can see and where everyone can go, to confirm the weakest believers, but above all to shake the blind and sleepy souls of the world without God.

The sign on the hill of appearances will be like the cloud of fire that illuminated the Jews and blinded the Egyptians as they crossed the Red Sea.

We can imagine what the empire of darkness will do to obscure and destroy him, but in vain: every attempt will be a failure and will only demonstrate divine omnipotence.

However, Our Lady warned us not to wait for a sign to convert because, as the great spiritual tradition teaches, when the heart is hardened, Satan claims it as his property.
