The Secrets of Fatima Shed Light on Those of Medjugorje
Our Lady revealed on two occasions (January 1991 – January 2023) that she came to Medjugorje to accomplish what she began in Fatima. It is therefore Our Lady herself who has prepared a long-term plan, which begins in 1917 and ends with the triumph of her Immaculate Heart in the near future, when the Secrets will end and a time of peace will begin for all humanity.
The Secrets of Fatima have been made public over time, although it is commonly believed that a part is still secret for prudential reasons that can be intuited. Saint John Paul II himself had mentioned it in Fulda, Germany, revealing already in 1980 the catastrophic events that would hit the world and the persecution of the Catholic Church.
The close connection placed by the Queen of Peace between Fatima and Medjugorje allows us to conclude that what is not known about the Ten Secrets of Medjugorje is already known through what was revealed by Our Lady in Fatima on July 13, 1917. In other words, the Secrets of Medjugorje, those from the fourth to the tenth, would be the concretization of what we already know through Fatima.
What did Our Lady reveal to us in Fatima?
First of all, she confirmed to us the truth of faith of hell where there are not only demons, but also the souls of unrepentant sinners. The Mother of God wanted to show the three shepherds the reality of eternal perdition at the beginning of a period in which a mass desertion from the Christian faith began, which in our years has resulted in a real apostasy.
In the second secret, Our Lady prophesies the end of the war and the beginning of a worse war if the world does not convert.
However, the most impressive prophecy concerns Russia which, in 1917, began the communist revolution that would turn the world upside down and push humanity towards an atheistic and materialistic vision of life even in non-communist countries.
Regarding Russia, the prophecies are dramatic and, as Benedict XVI commented, they have partly come true, but partly they still have to come true:
“ If they accept My requests, Russia will convert and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be destroyed. Finally, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will convert, and a period of peace will be granted to the world. ”
This is a very heavy burden of evil, which many peoples have experienced and which we may soon experience as well.

The third secret of Fatima provides a more detailed picture of the war and persecution of the Catholic Church, as if it were an event following the previous one, with the aim of exterminating it in all its components, which ends with the killing of the Holy Father as well.
Let us ask ourselves: Who is it that wants to replace the Catholic Church because it considers itself the only nation that holds the Christian faith and claims to be “the third Rome”?
The revelations of the Third Secret of Fatima become clearer to us as we proceed in time and in the light of the messages of Medjugorje.
However, from this ocean of blood and wickedness Divine Providence will draw an extraordinary and unexpected good, namely: the conversion of Russia and not only that, the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the period of peace that will be granted to the world.
To complete the great prophecy of July 13, 1917, we must also remember the mysterious words of Our Lady: “Portugal will preserve the Dogma of the faith.”
What does it mean? It is a reality that we have before our eyes today: the rejection of Faith and the Cross, said the Queen of Peace in Medjugorje, for which “modern man does not want God and goes towards perdition”: Is it perhaps a prophecy on the coming of the Antichrist as Maria Valtorta writes?
We are on the eve of unimaginable and inconceivable events, which will shake faith and change the world. We must prepare ourselves with prayer and the sanctity of life, with Mary, with the Church and with the Pope, courageously persevering until the end.
Everything that was predicted in Fatima we will see live in the Secrets of Medjugorje from the fourth to the tenth, because Our Lady knows the future that God shows her and her words are true and precious for those who believe.
