- Trump tells Zelensky he is “gambling with WW3”
Donald Trump has told Volodymyr Zelensky during their face-to-face meeting that he is “gambling with WW3”.
Voices are being raised in the Oval Office with Associated Press calling the meeting a “clash”.
The video from the meeting is yet to be released and will be so after the Oval Office meeting ends.

Zelensky has also begged Trump not make any compromises with Vladimir Putin – but the US President fired back and said Ukraine would have to.
Trump has also claimed during the Oval Office meeting he is “in the middle” between the two fighting countries.
Zelensky met Trump at the door to the White House and shook the President’s hand as the high-stakes meeting got underway.
But things turned south in the Oval Office when voices were raised and JD Vance accused Zelensky of being on a “publicity tour”.
Trump had slammed Zelensky just last week for being a “dictator” and a “moderately successful” comedian who had “talked the US into a war that couldn’t be won”.
He is there to discuss and sign a minerals deal with Washington DC which Trump sees as crucial to paying America back for all its military support.
As Trump kicks off peace talks with Vladimir Putin, Zelensky will also be trying to get Trump on his side with security guarantees and also stop the Republican giving away parts of Ukraine to the Russians.
Meeting with Sir Keir Starmer in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump struck a positive tone about the meeting saying he would see if he could get some of Ukraine’s land back.
That has not been America’s position with Trump’s Defence Secretary saying over the past few weeks that it was “unrealistic” and “unlikely” that Ukraine would return to its 2014 borders.
